Abstract

This document outlines the design and validation process of a hydraulic channel prototype with adjustable slope for the Unit Operations Laboratory at the Production Engineering School of Instituto Universitario La Paz in Barrancabermeja. The design facilitates the analysis of various variables related to hydraulics and fluid mechanics using 2D and 3D digital tools such as SolidWorks. The goal is to provide an educational model that integrates theory and experimentation, enhancing student learning. Throughout the project, calculations and simulations were conducted to verify the design's functionality, with applications in the study of open and closed channels, including phenomena like erosion and sedimentation
